Lots Of New Things

I haven't updated in awhile and there is so many new things going on. I went home to Florida in March and stayed 3 weeks. I went to Wind Creek Casino with Memaw, my first time at a casino. We went twice during that visit, the first time I won $200...and the second time I won $800 so that was a lot of fun lol. I came back to Washington and me and Tylor found a little girl Elkhound puppy who lived in West Virginia. She was born on March 2 and the very last female left in the litter, and the breeder only had one litter a year...so needless to say we are now the proud owners of a 16 week old monster puppy named Valkyrie. She came to us at 8 weeks old on April 26...made the long flight to Washington. We are absolutely in LOVE with her. She learned not to use the bathroom in the house very quickly. She goes to the door and barks every time she has to go outside. She is a good puppy...but going through all the puppy stages again, we have realized what a GOOD dog Jaeger is. Haha. Her personality is so different from Jaegers, Jaeger kind of does his own thing. He is affectionate...but only when HE wants to be. She is ALWAYS wanting to cuddle and wanting attention. Always wagging her tail, she is such a happy puppy. Jaeger and her absolutely love each other. This has been so great for Jaeger, he is no longer bored with a puppy always stalking and pouncing on him. I can tell he really enjoys having another dog as a companion. We could not have asked for a better outcome. They lay down together, share their toys, Jaeger grooms her, he has really taken her under his "wing". If she bites him too hard or gets too rough he will "snap" at her (without actually trying to get her, he just makes the noise and the movement to make her stop lol) and she will yelp without him even touching her (because puppies cry about EVERYTHING lmao) as soon as she yelps, he will quickly get up with his ears back and go check to see if shes ok. They are so great together. I had one of my sisters, Brittany, come visit us for a week. The rain stopped us from doing too much of anything that was fun, but we did get to go to Pikes Place Market in Seattle and go snow tubing at Snoqualmie Pass. We all had so much fun snow tubing, but by the time our 2 hours were up, we were ready to go and get warmed up haha. I really enjoyed her coming and seeing us, even though I'm sure she was bored out of her mind on the days we sat around the house lol And was probably starving to death by the time she got back to Arkansas. I was in Washington for about 3 weeks before I did another visit back to Florida. lol I was able to see my sister for her 18th birthday and able to see my dad one more time before he left for Afghanistan for a year. Alex graduated in May..which is weird to think about because it still feels like I am the one still in high school and her in middle school. lol It doesn't feel like I've been out of school for 3 years. Speaking of school...I am FINALLY doing what I have wanted to do for awhile and started school to become a vet tech. I have been going back and forth on the idea for over a year...talking myself out of it because of how bad I am at math. (theres a LOT of math and science involved in the classes) I started in May and am now over half through the first semester. I have 3 more courses to go and then I will take my proctors and will be onto semester 2. So far I have made straight A's in all the animal related classes, but in the basic classes (like Biology) I have made B's. I was  shooting for straight A's in everything...but I guess I can't complain...those grades are SOOOO much better than my high school grades. I think I passed biology with a 62 in high school. lol I am now starting Animal Anatomy and Physiology. I haven't done much more than flip though the study units online, I am waiting until my books get here because its much easier looking at a book than trying to look at the one on the computer. I wish I was going to an actual school, but with Tylor being in the military it is easier for me to do it online, and I like being able to go through it on my own pace. I do like this school though, it seems very involved and the instructors are great...most of them at least lol I have to have 2 hours of webinars a month and I absolutely love going to them. A lot of the time I go over the time needed because I attend more than the minimum. I really enjoy them. At the end of semester 2 and 4 I have to do a 225 hour practicum in a clinic. So I am hoping to find a job before I am at that point in the program. Bob helped me out SOOOO much by getting me a laptop as a present for going to school. Now Tylor can use his without complaining about all my girly music being on it lol. Other than that I can't think of anything new that comes to mind. We are in Washington...still. Ugh. Tylor is trying his hardest to get us out of here. He put in for Korea so he could get base of preference or a follow on base...so now its just the waiting game. We shall see. I am trying not to think about him possibly going to Korea for a year or I will get sad and tell him to take it off his dream sheet lol If he gets orders, he will be gone for a year, but halfway through he would get to come home for a month. We have done that before, it should be "easy"...but now I am so use to living with him and being with him all the time, I don't know what I would do without him there annoying me all the time. haha But before he accepted the orders, he would already know what his follow on base would be (he put Hurlburt for his number one, and I believe he put 8 other bases, all within 10 hours from home) and I would move home for a year. Then of course we would be better off with money because I would have a job back at home and he would get extra pay...AND we would be OUT OF WASHINGTON! lol So when we talked about it, we both agreed that it would suck, but the benefits outweigh the suckiness of not seeing each other for 2 six month intervals lol ..............I think thats all. My concentration is horrible right now so I can't think of anything else that has gone on..lol

Valkyrie a day or two after Tylor picked her up from the airport (I was still in Florida)
This was taken last week. I love my puppies, I don't know what I would do without them<3

Holidays, New year, New opportunities

Haven't updated in a while. We have been pretty busy lately with the holidays and all. For Thanksgiving we went to a friends house and had a really good time. It wasn't home, of course...but it was a good time :) For Christmas me and Tylor spent the day together and that night we had Christmas dinner at a friends house. Mom and Memaw sent huge boxes of presents for me, Tylor and Jaeger so we had lots of presents to open under the tree. I love my family, it really did mean a lot to both me and Tylor that they wanted us to have something to open on Christmas day and for it to still feel like Christmas for us. We ended up putting up the tree like a week before Christmas, I never have been good at being on time or early for things lol. We were watching 2 male dogs...who marked in our house..UGH! Jaeger has been completely house broken, since he was a young puppy. Absoluetely no accidents in months and months...HE. MARKED. OUR. CHRISTMAS. TREE!!!! I was seriously in shock. He still squats when he pees like a female does! He does NOT lift his leg! And did it HAVE to be on our VERY. FIRST. CHRISTMAS TREE!?????! Come on Jaeger!!! Needless to say I was very upset with him and he knew it. I blame those other dogs for corrupting him lol He hasn't done it since...BUT we are still getting him neutered the end of this month lmao For my birthday Tylor worked, but we went out the next night to Red Robin. I felt weird sitting at the bar, people were looking at me like I was 14 lol For New Years me and Tylor sat at home and watched movies, we decided things were to expensive and too crazy. We had a good time though :)

I put up an ad to puppy sit and Jean, a trainer and the person who cares for a at the time 4 month old Golden Retriever named Liberty contacted me. She is from a starting out organization called All American Dogs, and they are training service dogs for veterans and troops. Started out with me watching Liberty some and now I am Secretary on the Board of Directors!!! This has been a GREAT experience for me so far and I have absolutely fallen in love with Liberty. I will be very interested to see where this goes. We have gotten very close to Jean and also her husband, very, very nice people. Its nice to find someone nice up here. This year is starting off to a great start.

Last time I posted, I was very worried that Jaeger had Megaespohagus...THANKFULLY I was just overreacting. He has not regurgitated his food at all since my last post. He sure knows how to worry me :)
My car should be here soon, just accepted a bid last night and just have to arrange a pick up date, I am SO excited. I am a little worried about driving though, after the wreck I have driven only like 3 times and everytime my hands get shaky, my heart races, and I think I have a mini panic attack lol but really, it sucks. Maybe with my car being here driving around base where theres not a whole lot of traffic will build up my confidence. I am planning on going home next month to see my family. I am so so so so so SOOOOOOOO excited! I miss everyone so much. And then when I get back to WA my sister Brittany is coming to visit in March...then its time to get down to business and start job hunting lol First places I am going to try are vets offices for veterinary assistant...sooo wish me luck :)
